Sandankyo Gorge is a must to visit for those who want to heal in Nature. Sandankyo Gorge is located about 75 minutes away from Hiroshima Bus Center, (Kamiya-cho) by expressway bus. It is beyond description to trek near waterfalls and ride a tour boat. We sell monitor tickets including bus, lunch and spa on limited dates.

In the evening, the island of Miyajima is very beautiful. Let’s visit the famous Itsukushima Shrine, with an English-speaking guide, visit a maze-like town of Miyajima, then, as we wait for the sunset, visit this intimate gallery café, Genshu, and enjoy a “shinobue” recital.

Meeting times / places / fees:
1. Itsukushima Shrine tour(2:30 pm – 3:45 pm): Meet at 2:30 pm at the Miyajima ferry terminal.
Guide fee: ¥1,000 + Admission to Itsukushima Shrine: ¥300
(Those who join the town walk will be offered a small tea break for free after the shrine tour.)
2. Miyajima town walk (4:30 pm- 5:40 pm): Those who join from the town walk, please meet at 4:30 pm at the stone gate of Itsukushima Shrine. We will visit a 150-year old house and others.
Guide fee: ¥1,000 (Comfortable walking shoes recommended.)
3.Shinobue recital (6:00 pm – around 7:10 pm): If you are not in the shrine tour or the town walk, please meet at 5:45 pm at the Miyajima ferry terminal.
Recital: ¥1,500 yen including a drink
(For those who participate in all of these three tours, the total tour fee will be discounted by ¥500 to ¥3,300.)

See a Kagura performance in Akitakata city under the retro atmosphere of the olden days in Japan.
Kagura dance traces its roots back to Shinto and was performed in rituals in ancient times. Over the ages, Kagura has evolved into several variations and styles. In particular, the area around the northern part of Hiroshima, Kagura was developed into a popular form of entertainment by adding dramatic performances. You can enjoy seeing a Kagura performance, trying on a Kagura costume and taking photos. You can also enjoy a spa and dinner. Experience an authentic Japanese-style of entertainment!

Aug 8(Mon) Kataribe - Real Story by an Atomic Bomb Victim "Keijiro Matsushima"
Keijiro Matsushima (A-bomb survivor)
August 6th. A significant date in the history of Japan and the world.
It is on, and around, this date that thousands of tourists from overseas, and foreigners living in Japan, head to Hiroshima to visit the museum and attend the Peace Memorial Ceremony.
This year, however, will be a little different.......
On Monday August 8th, there will be a rare chance to meet a survivor of the A-bomb at Tengu Gallery (Hondori).
Keijiro Matsushima was 16 when the bomb was dropped on Hiroshima.
He will give his testimony of what happened on that fateful day in ENGLISH and there will be a Q&A session afterwards.
So to foster understanding, and in the hope that this atrocity is never repeated, why not come along and listen to Matsushima's story?
Matsushima gives a human face to the A-bombing tragedy.

Keijiro Matsushima - Kataribe (Storyteller)
Born in Hiroshima City in 1929 (82 years old).
He was 16-years-old when the atomic Bomb was dropped on Hiroshima.
At that time, he was inside a school building that was only two kilometers away from the epicenter.
He taught English in junior high school after the World War II.
After his retirement, he has been active as "Kataribe," a storyteller who recounts his personal atomic bomb experiences to younger generations.
