In this exhibition, 145 pieces of Important Cultural
Properties and Important Art Objects, in addition to special exhibits of
30 works associated with the Kansai and Chugoku regions, of Ukiyo-e
prints from Hiraki Ukiyo-e Museum – noted for its leading Ukiyo-e
collection nationwide – are introduced.
Starting from the early days of Ukiyo-e art such as the works of
Jihei Sugimura, Masanobu Okumura, etc., master pieces of Ukiyo-e prints
in the Edo Period by the Masters represented by Harunobu Suzuki,
KiyonagaTorii, Utamaro Kitagawa, Sharaku Toshusai, Toyokuni Utagawa,
Hiroshige Utagawa, Kuniyoshi Utagawa, Hokusai Katsushika, etc, are
attractively staged waiting for you.
