The Building exhibition sets out to examine the relationship between art and architecture, and architecture and art by looking back at various artistic trends and experiments from the ’60s to the present through works from the museum collection.

Cherry Blossom Season is fast Approaching.

A GOOD PLACE TO SEE THE CHERRY BLOSSOM.



Constructed with the hope of eternal world peace, the park consists of a number of peace-promoting monuments. Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum exhibits visual materials showing outlooks of Hiroshima at the time when it was granted with permanent peace after the war.




You can see several sites including the A-bomb dome that has been designated as a World Heritage Site, Hiroshima Peace Memorial Hall for Atomic Bomb Victims, Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, and International Conference Center Hiroshima. The bell chimes for peace within the Peace Memorial Park was selected as one of “Japan Sound View Best 100”.



Also, this place is a popular spot to admire beautiful cherry blossoms.
Every year you can see hundreds of people having Hanami near the rivers all along the peace park. As soon as the blossom blooms, then the crowds will follow.

March 24th (sat) Kagura dance and music in Miyajima♪



Kagura dance traces its roots back to Shinto and was performed in rituals in ancient times. Over the ages, Kagura has evolved into several variations and styles. In particular, the area around the northern part of Hiroshima, Kagura was developed into a popular form of entertainment by adding dramatic performances.

March 6th(Tue) The First Baseball Game Of The Year


The baseball season is here!

One of the most popular sports in Japan is baseball and the pre-season warm up starts tomorrow in Hiroshima!!! The local baseball team are the much-loved Hiroshima Carp.

The first chance of the year to see what kind of form the local heroes are in here in Hiroshima.

Hiroshima Carp vs Yomiuri Giants

The game starts at 13:00 at Mazda Stadium.

Carp game is a must do for both lovers of the game, and those who just wan to experience the spectacle.
