By the way have you heard of KABUKI before?
Kabuki (歌舞伎) is a traditional Japanese form of theater with roots tracing back to the Edo period. It is recognized as one of Japan's three major classical theaters.

Also Kabuki is an art form rich in showmanship. It involves elaborately designed costumes, eye-catching make-up, outlandish wigs, and arguably most importantly, the exaggerated actions performed by the actors.

Don`t you want to see that performance while in Hiroshima?

A chance to see the nocturnal animals in action and to escape to the relative cool of the Asa highlands. The “night safari” is only held 8 nights a year, and it is always popular
with families and dating couples.
There is plenty of debate as to just how bad a zoo Asa Zoo is.
It seems to us that
although the confined spaces in which many of the animals are kept (especially the big cats)
are disgraceful, on the whole, as zoos go, the conditions are relatively good.
Hopefully some of the obvious delight of the kids that visit will translate into long term conservationist
thinking and a respect for animals.
On August 26 there are 60 minute performances at 18:00 and 19:30.
The zoo is open until 21:00 (final admission at 20:30).
Shuttle bus between Kamiyasu Astram Station and Asa Zoo every 10-20 minutes.
