Konnichiwa from Hiroshima Hana Hostel, it's Kana here.
Japan is in the right middle of rainy season now..But somehow it's been good weather these days.

One of the reason to come to Hiroshima for tourist is visiting MIYAJIMA.
It is one of well known world heritage in Japan. There are many different annual event / festival there.

Kangensai is the largest of the annual festivals observed at Itsukushima Shrine in Miyajima.
Colofully decorated boats carry orchestras aboard and cruise along the coast while Gagaku music is being played.
It is like a gorgeous picture scroll of the Heian period spread out over the sea.

Kangensai will be held at Daiganji temple.
It was in chage of the repair and construction of Itsukushima Shrine until the Meiji Restoration(1868).
Daiganji Temple is dedicated to Benzaiten, the Goddess of eloquence, music, wisdom and wealth, and is known as one of the three most famous Benzaiten Temples. The Benzaiten is opened to the public only once a year on June 17.

Don't miss it!!

Let's enjoy  historical festival!!
